RULE OF THE GAME

It would be nice to win you tomorrow in negotiated surrenders. And in anticipation, I prepare for a defeat, though; to hang precariously and entangled in the cobwebs of the ensuing fate. Buried under piles of emotional debris, I would than taste the salty sweats for days. When your secret smiles imprison me, I believe I would go limp and demand some extra warmth. I would also unravel the mysteries of the nights and bury them when the daylights break and pretend that I knew nothing of those pains.
I know, you know black magic that can bring torrential rains forever or you may even prefer to take fresh revenge on a prisoner in chains--raw. Your sharp nails would then bleed my bodies to nourish my soul. With every passing moment, now a day, the possibilities turn uncertainties and the uncertainties—aborted possibilities; of gnawing hopes. This appears to be the only rule of the game.

THE ROADS TO NOWHERE AND A BRIDGE

Day in day out, we tend to take to the roads that assure us to take somewhere. It is a life lived very often in plenty of familiar monotony and apparent inescapable boredom, but free of risk and adventure. Same faces, same contours and same smells-we prefer to like or rather we force ourselves to succumb. It is like being remaining glued to a makeshift web of the spider spun by none other but us. It is so suffocating that we rot over the decaying but freshly painted hanging bridges, knowing well that the next day perhaps they may turn out to be our most cherished unmaking of ourselves nurtured secretly as calculated dangers.
That is why, I often thought of venturing out to walk briskly on the roads going to nowhere with disjointed tall bridges-just to be myself and none else; though I never did it even one so far. Till now, it has remained a beautiful dream in me; the day after I lost my childhood. Since then, I just wanted to reach a bridge of no return after traversing the roads of no return-I know it would have no entry or exit routes and a mysterious history of its own.
May be someday, I will ask my Maori friend about it and perhaps ask her to stand still beside me on the bridge above the rainbows.

THE ABUSERS NEVER WIN

Abuse is a most sinister form of violence and aggression perpetuated subtly on victims who are usually defenseless and most often innocent. It degenerates both the victims and victors inflicting bleeding wounds and ghastly scares in their body, mind and soul that cannot be healed easily.
The abusers never win in spite of the false sense of victory that might appear as real for a distorted time only. The written histories of tales of torture are replete with such truths as falsehood. The sadistic triumphs are so deceiving that it simply annihilates and wipeouts the so called gains of the victors’ erroneous sense of pride and worth that evaporates fast.
As a rule, the abusers are persons with a maggot infested psyche that is largely injured and in tatters yet pretend to live in the image of man with a neatly crafted camouflage and lots of masks. They are so much mauled and sick that they try to heal themselves by tormenting others. Most of them repeat their sufferings by enacting it again and again on others who were never responsible for their miseries. The abusers are usually cowards and atheists who challenge the basic precepts of divinity and morality expected of a conscious being. The saddest part of this is that the victims of the abusers are the ones near or dear to them or persons who never imagined them to be harmful. The abusers are bereft of any human dignity and therefore they are the beasts amongst us. Let us shun abuse and act to counter it in any form. Abuse cannot be justified by any means.

GET LOST, ERR...IT IS ME!

Whenever I wanted to travel to relax, I always preferred to travel to unconventional places. I never go out to see the usual or the wonders of the world. My trips take me to the wild and unknown, where I find enough time to search the me in me in solitude and far removed from the hustle and bustle of the madding crowd. It refurbishes and rejuvenates my soul. Though, it does not make me wise enough to tale the stories to my eagerly awaiting friends and family members, I prefer to keep the secrets to myself and look naïve, after I am back. I do it purposefully, knowing well that it can have hardly any names.
The best part my travel is cast in anonymity. I go to the places where there are none to recognize me and act as my tour operator or guide. I find them the spoilers and nothing more. It is exhilarating to walk a busy street unnoticed or having a definite direction. After all, I want to avoid the directions that I am expected to follow in my daily life. I believe, why go out and still become the same, from which one wants to escape? It is meaningless to spend lot of money to get into the traps of the routines of the hungry sharks in wait to divert your serene paths towards their own. The travel has to be one's creative best. And I do it as I like.
